Gaudenzio Bonaldo Gregori, one of the founders, is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pillarstone.

He has many years of professional experience in, among others, private equity, turnaround and corporate finance. He has worked both in Italy and in the UK, managing teams of leading international financial institutions with responsibility for the European and Middle Eastern markets. He holds multiple roles as executive and non-executive board member in companies and investment vehicles.

Gaudenzio holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, a degree in Business Administration and is ACA equivalent qualified.

He speaks Italian (native) and English (fluent).

Raimondo Bonfanti, one of the founders, is a Partner of Pillarstone.

He has gained a significant professional experience in leading financial institutions and international consulting firms holding the role of team leader of restructuring, leverage finance and capital markets departments and by managing complex private equity transactions and corporate turnarounds. He is a non-executive board member in multiple companies and investment vehicles.

Raimondo holds an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi, has a degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance and is ACA equivalent qualified.

He speaks Italian (native) and English (fluent).

Tommaso Caratelli is an Investment Manager in the Investment Team and joined Pillarstone in 2015.

Before joining Pillarstone, he worked in the strategy team of a leading consulting firm, providing assistance to private equity funds in M&A transactions and to several Italian companies in the development of business plans.

He holds a degree in Accounting, Finance and Control from Bocconi University in Milan.

He speaks Italian (native), English (fluent), French (fluent) and Spanish (fluent).

Iris Galli is an Associate in the Finance Team and joined Pillarstone in 2020.

Prior to joining Pillarstone, she worked for a leading audit firm, handling financial statement audits of leading investment and asset management companies.

Iris holds a degree in Business Management obtained with full marks at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan.

She speaks Italian (native) and English (fluent)

Marco Lucci is the General Counsel of Pillarstone.

Prior to joining Pillarstone in 2019, he was associated in primary national and international law firms advising clients on complex financial and private equity transactions. In the context of a secondment, he also provided assistance to a leading Italian company listed on the FTSE MIB index of the Milan Stock Exchange. He holds multiple roles, including as board member, in several entities of the group.

Marco holds a degree in Law obtained with full mark at the University of Siena. He is a qualified lawyer in Italy.

Paolo Modenesi is Chief Financial Officer in Pillarstone since 2016.

He has more than 15 years of experience gained in international banking and investment firms managing financial, administrative, tax and regulatory departments.

Paolo holds a degree in Economics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan.

He speaks Italian (native) and English (fluent).

Gianluca Moletta is an Associate in the Investment Team and joined Pillarstone in 2023.

Prior to Pillarstone he worked as an intern for prominent investment firms where he contributed to carrying out due diligence processes in the context of domestic and international growth equity and private equity transactions.

Gianluca holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University.

He speaks Italian (native) and English (fluent).

Andrea Nappa is a Partner of Pillarstone.

He has a thirty-years of experience in private equity and corporate restructuring, having worked with multiple consulting firms and leading Italian and international financial institutions. He also held roles as CEO and CRO in several distressed companies.

Andrea holds a degree in Economics from the University of Turin and is qualified as chartered accountant since 1994.

He speaks Italian (native) and English (fluent).

Gilles Quey is a Director in the Investment Team and joined Pillarstone in 2015.

He has been working in the private equity sector for 12 years with a focus on turnaround and special situations projects. He has a significant experience gained in Italy and London in both private equity and investment banking segments.

Gilles holds a degree in Economics gained with full marks at Bocconi University and has attended the Majeure Finance at the HEC of Paris.

Andrea Regazzoni is a Director in the Investment Team and joined Pillarstone in 2016.

He has more than 15 years of experience in private equity, M&A and restructuring practices of investment funds and international financial advisory firms, managing complex investment transactions with a focus on turnaround and special situations.

Andrea holds a degree in Financial Markets and Institutions from Bocconi University.

He speaks Italian (native), English (fluent) and French (fluent).

Marco Tonon is an Associate in the Finance Team and joined Pillarstone in 2017.

Before joining Pillarstone, he gained experience in accounting and securitization transactions at a leading Italian financial firm.

Marco holds a degree in Accounting, Finance and Control gained with full marks at Ca' Foscari University in Venice.

Teodora Matei has been a part of Pillarstone since 2016.

Prior to joining Pillarstone she worked in primary international companies also active in the banking sector, providing assistance to support, secretarial and office management teams.

Teodora holds a degree in piano performance and a master’s degree in international Relations & European Studies from Timisoara University.
